Cue the dirge: wom-wooooo, wom-waaaaa…
As I mentioned (parenthetically), we have now lived in NYC for a year. To celebrate, we went back to the neighborhood where we stayed in corporate housing to have lunch at the place we frequented, Toasties. The place is still good. In New York, it’s a miracle that it’s still there. So things were looking good for the place where I wanted to have dessert: Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
But, alas…
All you can see is the ghost of the sign. This place, however, was still there.
Unfortunately, their baking doesn’t measure up to their marketing, so I didn’t get any buns to sink my teeth into.

Hey!
It's Chihiro from Testtakers (or is it Testakers? Test Takers?) and I read your e-mail about that wierd sentence from the Frye Boots place...so here I am, commenting on your blog!
I think that sentence should be fixed to say, "Frye Boots - who cares about our history, just buy our boots!"
All kidding aside though, I went to the extra help session the other day and I found that Writing was really easy (quite a surprise, since I scored the lowest on the Writing section on the Diagnostic test...but then again, I have an awesome writing teacher!), and I had a lot of fun answering all the questions (or most of them, anyway,) correctly. Yeeeey!
Also, I read a few of your earlier posts...and saw a photo of one of your kids! He has your eyes! Awwww...so cute...and I don't even like kids!
I'm actually working on an essay for English right now (I'm comparing my summer reading book, All the King's Men by Robert Penn Warren to one of my favourite books of all time, Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk) so I should probably stop procrastinating!
See you on Tuesday!
CHIHIRO!
